Today we are at Port Brandinghi which is SE of Olbia. We had to try the anchor four times to stick it…usually we’re good on the first try. The sand seems softer and more powdery which might make a difference??? It is really getting HOT here as we move South. We are in the water most of the time and even had the A/C on last night so we could get to sleep.
We had to pass Tavolara Island to get here. It is pretty ominous, white and void of much vegetation. There are rumors floating around that it is a hideout for submarines deep inside the Island. The truth is it is a NATO site and one of only a few that can transmit low frequency radio waves to the submarines. They do have cave entrances on both the East and West side which makes the rumors even more suspicious.
