We will really miss France. Once you get past the tourist spots, the people are very friendly…not what Americans usually think about the French.
Here is a game of Boules. This is what keeps the retired Gentlemen busy. We stood and watched all the bickering, measuring and the strategy of the game. Somebody starts by throwing a very small ball (the size of a ping pong ball) across the court (probably the size of a horseshoe court). Then the teams take turns trying to get the bigger metal balls closest to the small ball. The strategy comes in when you can throw and hit the other teams ball (that is closest to the target ball) out of the way. Can’t wait to try it sometime!
