Lagos

We made it to Lagos and were very happy to be tied up after such a windy day. At the marina's here you have to stop at the "reception dock", do all your paperwork and only then are allowed into the marina. The reception dock was very full today but we squeezed into a spot. The "Conga Line" was working its way over the bridge as we watched knowing it would be a late night at the marina.

We enjoyed Lagos as they had a real laundromat and a pretty big grocery store. This is what we did on day one. Day two...we enjoyed the beach until around 2pm (when the winds come). Jodi did her usual beach combing, happy to have shells to sift through. The beach was a lot of fun, watching the blow up "sofa" and the paddle boat shaped as a car with a built in slide...how fun does that look? Then we enjoyed John's new favorite lunch...sardines. For 7 Euros, you get a salad, a plate of baked potatoes and another plate of sardines. These aren't what we Americans think of when we think of sardines. They are actually about 6 inches long, soaked in Sea Salt for an hour or so and then just grilled. Apparently the oils from the fish do all the flavoring. Even Jodi liked them.
