Because it was Saturday and the big day for the Produce Market,(Mercado de Ribiera) we were up bright and early and heading out for the day. First stop, coffee and a pastel de nada (a custard pastery famous here). In order to get up one of the big hills in Lisbon, you can take the Elevador de Santa Justa with its Neo-Gothic motifs. We fit all this in before heading to Sintra again to show Susie and Mark. More castles and walking but today they were having a Medeival Jousting Contest for the tourists to enjoy. Great Day!
