Back on the boat in Lisbon, Portugal

Yes, we are in Lisbon. John got here his way (sailing) and I got here mine (flying). Lisbon is a very metropolitan city. It has many museums, cafes, shopping, etc. From the marina we usually have to take a bus and a metro (tram) plus a train (if we want to get out of the city). We don't find too many people that speak English so our Portuguese is getting better daily. We do have a hand held translator to use if we have to and we are always carrying around our English/Portuguese dictionary. And we never leave home without Rick Steve's Portugal Guide. They have a bridge that is just like the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco and they have a Christ The Redeemer statue that is just like the one in Rio De Janeiro. They eat a very small breakfast but a big lunch around 1-2pm and then a smaller dinner after 8pm. It has been hard adjusting to that schedule. There are great Mercado's (produce and fish markets) to browse. We will be stocking up here before heading south to the Algarve section (very touristy) because we were told the prices are much higher.
