We got up before dawn so we could make it through “Hells Gate” in the East River. There is a lot of current there and it can keep you from making any forward progress.
There is a real thrill and awe going by New York City in your own boat.
We saw the Freedom Tower which is still being built. And before we knew it, it was behind us.
