Long Island in the Bahamas (no...not in New York)

We entered an amateur regatta from Georgetown to Long Island in the Bahamas. There were about 40 boats racing across. Due to weather, they started the race a day earlier than scheduled and Jay Sea Dee was anchored in a more protected area planning to move for the race the next day. So we had to start from where we were...not at the starting line. We won the "Most Creative Start" category but came in second to last place with our handicap rating. Oh well, it was a lot of fun. We then had dinner at a local restaurant and the awards ceremony at Island Breeze Resort. Then due to weather we were stuck in this harbor so we rented cars and cruised the island. We visited Ena's Straw shop, the Columbus Monument at Santa Maria where he landed the Santa Maria in 1492, the Blue Hole, a church, etc. We saw many cool beaches and had a good time with our boating buddies, "Charmed" and "Lady".
